FAQ

Is PocketMonitor free?

PocketMonitor is free to download and includes a trial with 3 one-minute listening sessions so you can test how your mix translates on mobile.

To continue using it as part of your workflow, full access can be unlocked inside the app. Both monthly subscriptions or a lifetime license are available.

How does it work?

Insert the sender plugin on your master channel, open the PocketMonitor app on your phone, connect over Wi-Fi, and monitor your mix in real time.

Does my computer and phone need to be on the same network?

Yes, for the connection workflow to work smoothly, both devices should be connected to the same Wi-Fi network. VPN's, Firewalls or any blocking applications should not be used when using PocketMonitor.

Why isn’t my computer showing up in the app?

Make sure the sender plugin is inserted on your master or output channel, and that your phone and computer are on the same local network. If you are on iPhone, PocketMonitor also needs Local Network access enabled.

What if auto-discovery does not work?

PocketMonitor includes a manual Connect by IP option. In the sender plugin, click 'Phone Not Showing?' to reveal your computer IP, then enter that address in the app.

Can I use Bluetooth headphones or speakers?

Yes. Because PocketMonitor plays through your phone, you can connect Bluetooth headphones or speakers to your phone without changing your DAW setup or sample rate.

Why is there no sound even though I connected?

Check that your DAW is playing audio, the sender plugin is on your master/output, your phone volume is up, and the correct source is selected in the app. Also, make sure the mute buttons in the plugin are not selected.
